Hey Friends,

It’s June 2020 already, if you can believe it, and like so many, I’m still learning to cope with the world’s events in my own way. And you know what? That’s okay, to cope YOUR way. I’ve learned that. But I’ve also realized something else: this doesn’t mean that we all don’t have a part to play in keeping others safe, in supporting others, and in helping the world move forward.

After the death of George Floyd here in the United States, I’ve found myself, once again, heartbroken at yet another senseless loss of life. At first, I didn’t know how to respond, but I knew I wanted to do something. I had to do something, and what I’m good at, how I help, is by cocooning myself in my home and creating music. So I wanted to share something with you. A while back, I wrote a song called “More Beautiful.” It’s about leaving the world, you guessed it, a more beautiful place than it was before. It’s about remembering our worth as human beings. And most importantly, it’s about teaching the next generation to do the same. Here it is.

As we all deal with current and ongoing events in our own ways, remember that it’s important to listen. To learn. To grow. But more than anything else, I want to encourage you to prioritize one thing above all others: love. Love yourself and love others, even if those others couldn’t be more different from you.

With all my heart,

Sarah
